Spiritual Sand Art

There’s something awesome about sand!

The beach is the perfect place to have [cough] a picnic – and sand is what make the magic happen. Except when sand gets in your…um…food. That’s not cool. :-)

As spiritual beings we crave to inspire and to be inspired. And there’s something REALLY INSPIRATIONAL about sand art.

It’s my intention these Incredible Sculptures and Sand Animations inspire you. Enjoy the greatest collection of sand art ever assembled and these AWESOME PICTURES and AMAZING VIDEOS…

Guaranteed to excite, delight and make you say…What the Picnic!?!

Sacred Geometry and Circles

Sacred geometry is everywhere in nature: sunflowers, the nautilus, honeycomb and even hurricanes. Sacred geometry has also been used in the planning and construction of religious structures such as churches, temples, mosques, religious monuments, altars, tabernacles; as well as for sacred spaces such as temenoi, sacred groves, village greens and holy wells.

In the ancient world certain numbers had symbolic meaning, in addition to their ordinary use for counting or calculating.

Not only was sacred geometry used by Leonardo da Vinci and Pythagorus but it’s making a contemporary comeback in crop circles, new age science and yes – you guessed it – sand art!

Jim Denevan

Jim Denevan makes temporary drawings on sand, earth and ice that are eventually erased by waves and weather. All of the pictures above are his work. Considering the awesome factor of his artwork, he’s definitely the original sand badass – who like Teddy Roosevelt – walks quietly and carries a big sta-ick.

Religion

It’s sandtastic to marvel at the beauty, truth and inspiration found throughout the world’s religions. The intention of this post is to be inclusive of all traditions, faiths and belief system. If your religion isn’t gettin’ any love send me a cool pic or awesome video.

And now here’s the best of the best.

Words

Words make us happy.

The ability to communicate has always played an important role in our world. Whether thought, spoken or written on a beach, words can transform the world we live in.

Love, laughter, heroism, friendship, and almost every emotion we feel can be inspired by words. Unfortunately fear, anger, and hatred, can also be invoked by words.

So next time at the beach write peaceful, loving and naked words like these!

Inspirational Videos

Inspiration is one of the most powerful forces in the universe.

When we are inspired we create, manifest and perform at our highest potential. So I found some of the most inspiring sand animation videos on the internet.

It’s amazing how something as simple as sand can communicate so much. Who would have thought sand could transform consciousness?

Kseniya Simonova is the sand goddess who won Ukraine’s Got Talent. The video below (18 million views) is her in action at the competition. Watch for the moments when she is chucking sand. There’s only one word to describe it. Icarumba!

Go get ‘em Kseniya!

Mystical & Magical

Ok, let’s move from pimps to warlocks. Want your very own sand warlock? Into beach D&D?

Good, you’ve come to the right place.

I’m not entirely sure this category is appropriate for “spirituality” but whoever thought I couldn’t get Charlie Sheen into this post is severely mistaken.

Dragons, dolphins and warlocks… oh my. Now, we’re all winning!

Charlie Sheen

Charlie Sheen Photo Warlock Winning

Charlie Sheen is a special human. What’s up with this guy?

In the total absence of the Divine a lot people get lost and confused. They search for the Divine – whether it’s connection, ecstasy, peace or safety – in material and artificial places like drugs, sex  and ego trips. It’s pretty obvious that’s what he’s doing.

I recommend Charlie stops doing so many drugs and chats with my friend Dannion Brinkley. Sometimes it takes a wild thing to know a wild thing.

Want more Charlie? Check out this video of Charlie Sheen’s Craziest Quotes.

And holla in the comments if you love photoshop, warlocks and winning!

Sacred Sexuality & Nudity – Grand Finale

If you haven’t noticed, we humans like to get nakey on the beach.

You might be wandering what sexuality has to do with spirituality. Welp, I’m glad you asked.

In short, Spirituality is how we relate to God, Goddess, the Divine, our Creator, Great Spirit, our Higher Self, the Infinite Intelligence, Soul, Essence, etc.

And sacred sex is one of the easiest and most available paths to get there – kind of like mediation, prayer and contemplation.

If you want to learn more about sexual energy and Sacred Sexuality, check out Tantra or  Sexual Fusion.

If you want to enjoy sandtastic sacred sexuality, you’ve come to the right place.

Dedicated to the Tsunami Victims

Update: While writing this post a devastating earthquake and tsunami hit Japan. Please keep all of the people of Japan  in your thoughts, prayers, meditations and intentions. The following post is dedicated to all tsunami victims.

The mighty wave cometh and the mighty wave taketh away. Or as the Lama says…

“When we meet real tragedy in life, we can react in two ways–either by losing hope and falling into self-destructive habits, or by using the challenge to find our inner strength.” ~ Dahli Lama XIV

Comment Rules:

If you made it this far and are still reading how about saying hi and introducing yourself in the comments. This is one of my first blog posts and I’m always open to ideas, lavish praise and constructive criticism. After some inspiration from Tim Ferriss and Brian Oberkirch, I’m thinking of using the “Fonz Rule” for comments. Which means…

Keep it cool. Real cool.

Critical is alright, but if you’re absurd or unsavory, we’ll delete your comment. Please use your PERSONAL name or initials and not a business name and do not put your website in the comment text. Those come off as spam.

Have fun, be blessed and thanks for adding to the conversation!

Love this piece on sand art! The artists are amazing…..particularly the one from the Ukraine — wow! I always believed sand to be the clearest tangible indicator of how transient life is.

Indeed Robin!

Did you like the Buddhist Mandala video? It speaks to how life is transient as well.

Truly, we are all just passing through.
