My latest adventure has taken me to Sedona, Arizona; the land of vortexes, pink jeeps, alien tours, hippies and baby boomer flash mobs. It’s a unique and entertaining place.

As we consider personal evolution, I find that “universalism” best describes Sedona. It’s an evolutionary playground full of different energies, influences and belief systems all co-existing in relative serenity. You are sure to find a chapel, stupa, temple, hiking path, secret garden, labyrinth walk, quiet stream or vortex to uplift your spirit.

What I find really special about Sedona is the art. Whether it’s the natural beauty, the galleries, the people or the religious structures, this place has something to inspire everyone.

For me, the Chapel of the Holy Cross was of particular interest and inspiration. I’ve been on a mission to paint the Wadsworth Chapel, and this chapel represents everything the Wadsworth Chapel hopes to be… a beacon of honor, glory and inspiration to all!

Which entrepreneurial words of wisdom inspire you?

What do nuclear physics and fornication have in common? Quite a lot actually. In love making and energy exchange, there are two varieties – fission and fusion. When sex is fission you smash together and explode. It’s an experience of being separate where your ego is de boss. It can be mind blowing, for sure, but fission is for bombs.

Fusion, on the other hand, is a more evolved and co-creative reaction that generates greater amounts of energy. It’s literally what stars do. When sex is fusion, the result is a cauldron that brews and releases essential bio-energy. As you explore the world of bio-energy, the soul orgasm becomes an evolutionary ride on the highway of consciousness. Now let’s get it on and put the O in soul.

But First, What is a Soul Orgasm?

Mostly, it’s just a fancy smancy sexy term to get you to click into this article. Ok, ok, I’m kidding. It’s a real thing that I would describe as a multi-dimensional energetic trance. It’s not an orgasm for your physical body, per se, but it’s an orgasm for you and your partner’s energetic and non-physical bodies – the parts of you that live on after physical death.

Hence, the sexy soul term.

In a Soul Orgasm, your energetic bodies, quite literally, fuse together. If you are new to working with bio-energy (also called chi, prana, etc) you may not feel anything at first. But stick with it. You will. A Soul Orgasm requires practice, concentration and energetic discipline. Over time you will begin to experience these benefits:

• Deepening of romantic bonds
• Mutual energy exchange and compensation
• Greater emotional stability in your relationship
• Development of energetic and psychic abilities
• Intense, blissful energetic pleasure

Getting Started

Before beginning the Soul Orgasm process determine which partner can send bio-energy with more strength. If you want to be really precise use Kirlian Photography. Otherwise, just go with the partner who practices yoga, martial arts, energetic healing or has OBEs. If you don’t do any of these things, flip the proverbial coin. You are now ready to begin.

Step #1 – Room Temperature

Once you are completely satisfied after physical sex adjust the temperature of the room to 67-68 degrees Fahrenheit. This is the optimal temperature for lucid projections (OBEs, Astral Projections, etc) and energetic exercises. Once the temperature is set lie naked on the bed with your partner. You may feel a little cold at first. It’s natural and nothing to worry about. If it feels too cold to relax adjust the temperature accordingly.

Step #2 – Physical Positioning

The male lies on his back and the female lies at his side. Make as much skin contact as possible and get really close to each other. Next, the female rests her head on the male’s shoulder. Now you are in total union – a position of mutual affection and total interaction.

Step #3A – Energetic Envelopment (Sender)

The partner (male or female) who is a stronger bio-energy sender begins to emit energy to his/her partner. Direct the energy to the crown chakra with the intention of infusing their body with energy. Do this until you feel the sender has completely enveloped and dominated the psychosphere of the partner.

Step #3B – Energetic Envelopment (Receiver)

The receiving partner (male or female) becomes totally passive and receives the energy. As this happens your non-physical bodies will become energized and may start to stretch or detach a bit from your physical body. Whatever happens, keep an open mind and remain calm. Each person experiences their non-physical body in different ways. As the energy intensifies you may experience psychic sensations such as temperature changes, buzzing, itching, oscillations, yawning, heat/cold, cranial noises, tingling, numbness, tearing, shivers, goosebumps, an electric current and balloonment.

Step #4 – Energetic Coupling

Within 10-20 minutes the energetic force of the sender will intensify. The Sender will start to form intermittent and perceivable vitalizing energy circles. The Receiver may start to feel orgasmic myoclonuses, a hypnagognic state involving abrupt and repeated muscle jerks and spasms. Soon you will have completely “coupled” your crown chakras. Now you’re really rollin’. Keep going…

Step #5 – Sender Disconnection

After the “coupling” the Sender will find his or her energetic body partly, if not fully, disconnected from his or her physical body – and connected with his or her lover. This “disconnection” is natural and nothing to worry about. By now, both lovers are feeling very energetically stimulated.

Step #6 – Soul Orgasm

O Yes! You have arrived. Generally, the Soul Orgasm happens first with the Sender. Imagine the most intense, vibratory experience of your life. Add to that all of your feelings of love, bliss and ecstasy and voila; you’re in total mental, emotional and energetic fusion. The intensity of your Soul Orgasm will vary. It will improve with disciplined repetition of the Soul Orgasm process and mastery of vibrational exercises. Little by little, it gets better and better.

Now, get out there and report back your experience!

Being a leader isn’t what it used to be. In fact, it’s getting sort of complicated. Enter Professor David Logan. According to him, to understand the “how” of world shattering innovation we must understand the stages of tribal leadership. Sounds vwery vwery interesting doesn’t it? So, let’s dig even deeper. Here are the 5 stages of tribal leadership and how to lead your tribe with an eye for personal evolution.

Stage 1 – Life Sucks

Stage 1 is a group of people who sever relationships from functioning groups and healthy trajectories of conscious evolution. Their level of lucidity and life trauma give them the perception that life is horrible, painful and not worth living. This produces what Professor Logan calls “despairing hostility” both to themselves (suicide) and to others (murder).  To help (and lead) people in this category focus on healing unresolved trauma, doing consolation tasks and meeting their basic physiological and emotional needs. 2% of population

Examples: Prisons, Theaters of War, Gangs

Stage 2 – My Life Sucks

Stage 2 cultures have become lucid (aware) of their experience and have individualized it.  Unlike Stage 1, they don’t as often engage in hostility to others, but they feel despair, anger and sadness within themselves. Like Stage 1, these cultures still have a lot of unresolved trauma which result in varying pathologies and intrusion. It’s best to combine consolation tasks (fishing for them) with clarification tasks (teaching them to fish) to help them start to realize they are responsible for the reality they are creating. 25% of population

Examples: DMVs, Bureaucracies, Abuse and Rehab Centers

Stage 3 – I’m Great (and you’re not)

These tribes are full of smarty pants, power brokers and the self indulged. Basically, those living exclusively in ego (Edging God Out), which is most of us most of the time. When people lead tribes from Stage 3 to an extreme you can get mega-intruders like despots, war mongers, cult leaders, and to a lesser degree, some of my favorites – attorneys and politicians.  Most people find themselves in this tribe because it’s challenging to personally evolve from serving and glorifying oneself to serving and glorifying others. With Stage 3 cultures it’s important to clarify that survival of the fittest mentalities are illusory and cooperation produces far greater results than competition. To help Stage 3 – inspire, admire and appreciate them. 48% of population

Examples: Universities, Governments, Research Institutes, Religions

Stage 4 – We’re Great

Stage 4 is where cultures move past the chronic value system disorder of today’s society. Instead of only serving the self, they embrace the nature of reality which proves we are collective and everything is connected. Stage 4 tribes start embracing the golden rule and become fun, weird, inspired, joyous, loving and awesome. Basically, they become an infinity of expressions that describe the result of “co-creation.” A group in Stage 4 has evolved from intrusion to assistance, where instead of needing clarification and consolation, it can start to provide them. To help a stage 4 – unite with them! 22% of population

Examples: Conscious capitalism, Cause Movements, Social Entrepreneurship

Stage 5 – Life is Great

Welcome to the thunderdome of tribal evolution. When a group reaches Stage 5 it has evolved from doing into being. Now, instead of  half-assing the golden rule like Stage 4, they are being it all or most of the time. You might notice Stage 5 in a big way (Jesus, Gandhi, Mother Teresa) or you might notice them at all since they often remain anonymous, preferring to weave their impact and purpose from behind the scenes.

By it’s very nature, a Stage 5 group loves you and cares about your highest good. They do clarification tasks and assistance because they know the only way to evolve themselves is through helping others. To help a Stage 5, be the change you want to see in yourself and in the world.  2% of population

And remember everybody, do what Professor Logan recommends. Don’t leave tribes where you found them. Nudge them to the next level. That is what evolution is all about.

Hollywood can be a foul beast. Apparently, they don’t like making movies with all black casts because movies like that don’t make money.

But every so often a movie comes along  where making money doesn’t matter. It’s the sort of movie that tells the right story to honor those who deserve it most. I’m here to tell you Red Tails is that movie. And the Tuskegee Airmen are those heroes.

Now, if you’re a white person, the folks in Hollywood are expecting you to skip this film because the heroes are African Americans. Instead of Obi-Wan, you get a brotha named Lightning. And while there’s no Jar Jar Binks (thank God) the  Caucasian types are Nazis and military racists. Your excitement is palpable.

But missing this movie is like ditching class the day you learn one of life’s great history lessons about inspiration and the true beginners of Civil Rights in America. So if you still need a little push to go see the movie, I’ve prepared a little something just for you – the 10 reasons white people should watch Red Tails.

1. The Humble Badass Factor

When it comes to cool, there’s two kinds; normal cool and real cool. Tuskegee Airmen are the latter. Their coolness isn’t weak sauce wide receiver flashy cool, it’s subtle and smooth – a perfect blend of humility, heroism and the genuine badass factor. Some people may go their entire life without meeting the elusive “real cool” person, but all you have to do is find a Tuskegee Airman. Watching Red Tails is motivation to go meet one in the wild before this kind of coolness passes from the earth.

2. Nazi Ass Whooping

Let’s be real. There are a lot of white people who deserve a good ol’ ass whooping. Watch Red Tails and witness a band of brothers put on a Nazi beat down. Zay guten tag to my P-51 Mustang!

3. The Hot Italian Babe

She’s in the movie. Multiple times. Enough said.

4. It’s a True Story

Got History? This movie does. From Nazi beat downs, to pre-mission boozing to the reality of segregation during WWII – Red Tails is the story of something that really happened. Go learn something yo.

5. Star Wars

Proof: We know it’s true George Lucas produced Stars Wars. And you liked Star Wars. Moreover, Star Wars features things that fly. And we know you like flying things. Thus, you will like Red Tails, which was produced by George Lucas and has many flying things. True, this is.

6. You Respect Good Defense

Whether you care if the Crimson Tide is rolling or not, you must hand it to coach Nick Saban and the Alabama national champs. They watched Red Tails before the national title game and then systematically destroyed LSU by a count of 21 to goose egg. How does one calculate the value of inspiration? Well, look no further than Les Miles. He showed his team the movie Contraband. Moral of the story, Red Tails will inspire you. The other movie you’re planning to watch – probably won’t.

7. Dog Fights

There be dog fights and humor in Red Tails.

8. Stick it to Hollywood

According to George Lucas, Hollywood didn’t like Red Tails because it has an all black cast. Apparently, in the movie business, this is a no-no since it’s bad for the bottom line. I find this somewhere between truly sad and absurd. So go see the film and prove to the Hollywood brass some things matter more than money.

9. You Like Smart People

Now, if you ever meet a Tuskegee Airman one thing will be obvious. They are smarter and cooler than you. This was confirmed on 9 out of 9 occasions for me, where upon meeting them – I realized in 10 seconds they were operating on a totally different level– both in terms of wits, smarts and the sort of knowledge that comes from 80-90 years of overcoming war and segregation.

10. Colorless Things

The tagline for Red Tails is “courage has no color.” But this hardly does the film justice. Why? Because the Tuskegee Airmen were so much more than courage. They were about honor, respect, humor, humility, service and glory. If you still believe these are things America holds dear, Red Tails and the Tuskegee Airmen will inspire you to your own version of greatness!

This adventure all started when I was driving around the West Los Angeles VA. I was on my way to the long-term care unit (where I’m a hospice volunteer with the Twilight Brigade) when it struck me. The Wadsworth Chapel needs painted.

So began my mission to restore faith and honor to the West Los Angeles VA.

My adventure has unfolded as hundreds of phone calls, dozens of letters, 8 congressional office meetings, a slew of setbacks, a big fat pile of bureaucratic red tape and a hope and a prayer. Somewhere along the line I realized the significance of this little chapel. It’s everything this country stand for. And preserving it with a protective coat of paint is worth the fight.

A Happy History Turned Bad

The oldest building at the West Los Angeles VA is a fixer-upper of a most unusual sort. Until the 1971 Sylmar earthquake forced its closing, the Wadsworth Chapel, completed in 1900, provided dual sanctuaries separated by a double brick wall that also served to deaden the organ rumblings that emanated from either side. At the north end, old soldiers worshiped in a Catholic chapel; at the south end, they prayed as Protestants.

As the oldest building on one of the city’s most prominent and famous boulevards, it’s of critical importance.”

Since being placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972, however, the building has deteriorated markedly. Intruders have set fires, burning holes in the floors and scorching wood wainscoting and pews. Empty beef jerky bags, discarded underwear and clumps of plaster litter the worn burgundy carpeting. Frayed, forlorn and peeling, the chapel needs some serious help.

The VA estimates a complete restoration would cost $11.5 million. Of course, such a restoration is not reasonable at taxpayer expense. However, we do not need to do everything at once. We can take the first step of restoration right now. By painting the chapel we achieve the highest restorative impact for the lowest price.

Truly, painting the chapel will transform and restore it to what it once was; a monument to God, country and the heroes who fought (and continue to fight) to protect honor, freedom and all of us.

The Twilight Brigade (hospice volunteers) and Vet to Vet (veteran work and rehabilitation) are 501(c)(3) non-profits supporting this project. Our goal with this project is to create jobs for veterans with painting skills who live in the dormitory on the VA campus. The chapel painting is part of a broader “campus restoration” aimed to help put vets to work. If you would like to help support the chapel preservation you can donate to the Twilight Brigade.
